In public administration, Robotron has made a name for itself, for example, with the development of integrated case processing for the Saxon police. At the same time, we supply the well-known museum information system robotron*Daphne, as well as the grant management system for the State of Saxony. Our subsidiary SASKIA® Informations-Systeme GmbH is also considered one of the market leaders in the field of municipal software throughout Saxony.

History of the development of the robotron*Daphne collections database
In 2005 Robotron won a tender of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (SKD), which ran under the simple name "museum database". When the first software version was released in 2006, the SKD arranged a competition among their employees to find a name. Out of the many suggestions, "Daphne" prevailed. In Greek mythology, Daphne is transformed into a laurel bush, and the moment of transformation inspired many artists. robotron*Daphne stands for the transformation of real works of art into digital data.
